Delta Force: Black Hawk Down Official is the 6th game in the series, following on in the realistic military first-person style of the series. The single-player tells the story of four American soldiers engaged in battle throughout Somali, with the player controlling the other three through commands.

A little different from other Delta Force titles, the game features more close combats and set pieces with a fairly linear plot. Action is tight and tense but never really becomes as gripping as similar titles like COD or Medal of Honour. Graphics are naturally dated but the soundtrack is atmospheric and the gun play is tight and responsive.

Delta Force: Black Hawk Down Official multiplayer was a huge draw at the time, with up to 50 players at once but sadly now feels constricted. While it is fairly outdated now, the single player campaign is worth a play thanks to the challenge on offer and a tense soundtrack. I am a huge fan of military plays and action-packed game series that’s why it is no wonder why Delta Force: Black Hawk Down easily grabbed my attentio n.

I wished that the developer would take an action to update this game because I see a lot of potential for this game. It contains a great storyline and missions!

This is like the classic Counter-Strike game in the early s. I remember playing this all day and all night during my college days. This is a very exciting, challenging and realistic military game. There was a movie based on this incident.

Engage in close quarters gun battles as you take down mission objectives within the warzone. The close combat with hostiles in Delta Force is similar in practice to the combat in Left 4 Dead.

You are given objectives within each mission that you are tasked with completing. You can give commands to other characters in the game, such as telling them to throw grenades, hold their position, and hold fire. The game is pretty old, which means demands on your processor and RAM will be small when compared to modern games. As a result, there are various ports of this game, which means you can play it on numerous types of platform, though it is easiest to play it on a PC or laptop.

No, this is a stand-alone war game that simply frames its events around the Black Hawk Down incident, which is also what the movie of the same name did. As a result, it comes across as dated and a little generic. Where it shines is through the fact it is a brightly lit and story-driven shooting game. Sadly, its character design is ugly due to the limitations of the time when it was created, and the controls are clunky, which damages the user experience when playing the game.
