I will tell you how to do that and also how to use another popular tool to test your RAM: I uploaded a copy of the Windows Memory Test utility to my SkyDrive everybody has a SkyDrive for sharing files. You can download it and when you do, save it to your desktop, launch double click it and follow the instructions. When you download the file especially if you use Internet Explorer , when you get a chance to save the file, your browser may not save the file with an extension like.
You can download the file with no extension and then rename the file to add the proper extension. You don’t want to try to use a file called mtinst when the file name really needs to be called mtinst. Double click the mtinst. If even a single error is reported that is a failure and should make you suspicious of your RAM.
If you have multiple sticks of RAM you may need to run the test on them one at a time and change them out to isolate the failure to a particular single stick. Always keep at least the first bank of RAM occupied so the test will find something to do and there is enough to boot your system.
Sometimes, reseating the RAM in the slots will relieve the error but a failure is still cause for suspicion. This site in other languages x.
